Might ႏွင့္ mighty အသံုးမ်ား

ဒီေန႔ေတာ့ စကားလံုးေလးတစ္ခု ရွယ္ပါရေစခင္ဗ်ာ။ might ကို ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ modal verb အျဖစ္ သိထားေပမယ့္ သူက Noun အေနနဲ႔လည္း သံုးလို႔ရပါတယ္။ strength, power or force လို႔ အဓိပၸါယ္ရပါတယ္။

E.g The bird struggled with all her might to get free. 
ငွက္ကေလးက သူလြတ္ဖို႔ အားအသားကုန္နဲ႔ ရုန္းသြားတယ္။

ထင္ရွားတဲ့အသံုးက Might is rightပါ။ US ကေတာ့ Might makes right လို႔သံုးပါတယ္။ 
"အမ်ားကသေဘာမတူေပမယ့္ အာဏာပါဝါရွိတဲ့သူေတြဟာ သူတို႔လုပ္ခ်င္တဲ့ ဘယ္အရာမဆို လုပ္ႏိုင္ၾကတယ္လို႔" အဓိပၸါယ္ရပါတယ္။

ေနာက္ old-fashioned ျဖစ္တဲ့ with might and main ဆိုတဲ့ အသံုးလည္းရွိပါတယ္။ as much effort as possible "ရွိသမၽွအားစိုက္ထုတ္၍" လို႔ အဓိပၸါယ္ရပါတယ္။

E.g She shouted with might and main but nobody recused her. 
သူ(မ) ရွိသမၽွအားနဲ႔ အသားကုန္ေအာ္ခဲ့တယ္၊ ဒါေပမယ့္ ဘယ္သူမွ လာမကယ္ခဲ့ၾကဘူး။

ၾကံဳတုန္းမို႔ဆက္ေျပာပါရေစခင္ဗ်ာ။ mighty ဆိုၿပီး adjective အေနနဲ႔လည္း သံုးႏိုင္ပါတယ္။ very strong and powerful, or very big and impressive လို႔ အဓိပၸါယ္ရပါတယ္။ 

E.g The Ayeyarwaddy river is a mighty river in our country. 
ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ႏိုင္ငံမွာ ဧရာဝတီက ျမစ္ႀကီးတစ္စင္းဗ်။

The United State of America has a mighty army. 
အေမရိကန္မွာ အင္အားႀကီးစစ္တပ္ရွိတယ္။

mighty က adverb အေနနဲ႔လည္း သံုးႏိုင္ၿပီး very လို႔ အဓိပၸါယ္ရပါတယ္။

E.g You seem mighty sure of your facts. 
မင္းေျပာတဲ့အခ်က္ေတြနဲ႔ပက္သတ္ၿပီး မင္းအေတာ္ေသခ်ာေနပံုရတယ္။
