Real private school or so-called private school? 

As far as I know, private schools have started arising the whole country since democratically-minded government was in charge of the country maybe around 2012. At present, there are a lot of private schools running the whole country. May I admit here that I am not familiar with private school law and what to do instructed by the government. However,as a well-trained teacher I am not totally satisfied with the current conditions happening in some private schools. In these days, I have been teaching a child who is attending at a local private school. He is preparing to move to a more popular private school next academic year. Here let me hide the names of both private schools. His family's economy is going very well so his parents support him a lot in his education. They think that private schools are the best in our country and look down on government schools. They always look up to private schools and like whatever private school teachers ask his son to do. This is not my business yet but a question arises myself. As you all know, it is high-priced to attend private schools and it is beyond the reach of the children from low salaried families. So are private schools really worth the amount of money they take for their teaching? 

Not only through my own experience of teaching a child from a  private school but through my friends' information, I come to know that some private schools are teaching their students just for short term. Their teaching likely to make students depend so much on their teachers. A child who comes from a rich family is used to well-going conditions since their birth. So life is always very easy for them. This habit is already rooted in them and condition facing in private schools make it stronger. Children needn't think about how to solve the problems. They just copy the answers written by their teachers on the blackboard. Their only intention is to get high marks and fight for it with the help of so-called teachers. Not even in the problems being solved by using their thought, they don't know how to learn the context by heart. They are used to learning by heart with the help of their teachers. Their teachers guide them in their learning through learning together. As its dangerous side-effect, children don't want to try learning themselves. They can't learn themselves and don't know what to do without any teacher's help. At first I think this problem happens only in  my student. So I shared my experience to my friend working in a private school as a temporary teacher. She also has the same problems and she talked about the problems she has been facing. Furthermore, my friends working in another private school shared the same experience when I met them once. So are the students too stupid to learn the subjects themselves? Or are their teachers bad? 

This is not because students are stupid and teachers are bad but because their basic intentions are not on the right track. Here it is not talking about critical thinking but just students' lack of learning themselves. Even if we teachers are not able to make critical thinking stronger in students, we shouldn't stop them in learning and doing works themselves. Frankly speaking, my contribution is not  right enough to blame all of the private schools for their ways of teaching. However,not only as a teacher but also as a citizen, I really want private schools to teach their students in the right way and not just for short term. To be brutally honest, private schools have got a greater role in Burmese parent's beliefs for their education than government schools. If we give a chance to the parents to choose a government school or a private school, it is bitterly true that they will choose the latter. Moreover, the private schools take a lot of fee for teaching and private teachers are well-paid. So they ought to try to worth such a large of money. They should not take so much money and destroy students' desire of counting on themselves. If they teach and train students only for getting high marks, they should not be called private schools and they are just so-called private schools. As a so-called private school, they should not keep killing students' effort of depending on themselves. They should not abuse the beliefs of the parents. If not, it is very dangerous for our Education.
