As နဲ႔ Like ဘယ္လိုကြာသလဲ (ထက္ေဇာ္ထူး)

ကဲ ဒီေန႔ေတာ့ တူမေယာင္နဲ႔ကြဲတဲ့ စကားလံုးႏွစ္လံုးျဖစ္တဲ့ As နဲ႔ like အေၾကာင္းကို ေျပာပါရေစ။ 

As နဲ႔ Like ဟာ preposition အျဖစ္သံုးႏိုင္သလို၊ conjunction အျဖစ္လည္း သံုးႏိုင္ပါတယ္။ As နဲ႔ Like conjunction အျဖစ္သံုးရင္ အဓိပၸါယ္မတူပါဘူး။

As + noun က in the role of ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပၸာယ္ရၿပီး like + noun က in similar to / in the same way as ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပၸါယ္ပါ။

E.g As your teacher, I will teach you good table-manners. 

မင္းရဲ႕ဆရာအေနနဲ႔ မင္းကို အမူအက်င့္ေကာင္းေတြ သင္ေပးမယ္။

(ဒီစာေၾကာင္းမွာ ေျပာသူက နားေထာင္သူရဲ႕ ဆရာပါ)

E.g Like your teacher, I will teach you good table-manners. 

မင္းရဲ႕ဆရာလိုပဲ မင္းကို အမူအက်င့္ေကာင္းေတြ သင္ေပးမယ္။

(ဒီစာေၾကာင္းမွာ ေျပာသူက နားေထာင္သူရဲ႕ ဆရာမဟုတ္ပါဘူး၊ ဒါေပမယ့္ ဆရာသင္သလို သင္ေပးမွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္)

☆အေၾကာင္းအရာႏွစ္ခု/လူႏွစ္ေယာက္/ပစၥည္းႏွစ္ခု တို႔ကို ႏိွဳင္းယွဥ္ေျပာရင္ like ကို သံုးရပါတယ္။ (as မသံုးရပါ)

E.g I have got headache like you. 

မင္းလိုပဲ ငါလည္း ေခါင္းကိုက္ေနၿပီ။

♡ အျပဳအမူ၊ ရုပ္ရည္သြင္ျပင္ စတာေတြကို ႏွိဳင္းယွဥ္ရင္လည္း like ကို သံုးရပါတယ္။ (as မသံုးရပါ)

E.g Your flat is like a jail. 

မင္းတိုက္ခန္းက အခ်ဳပ္စခန္းလိုပဲ။

♡ အလုပ္အကိုင္နဲ႔ ပတ္သက္ၿပီး ေျပာရင္ေတာ့ as ကို သံုးရတယ္။

E.g He served as a soldier for thirty years. သူဟာ စစ္သားတစ္ေယာက္အျဖစ္ ႏွစ္သံုးဆယ္ အမႈထမ္းခဲ့တယ္။

As နဲ႔ Like ဟာ ႏွိဳင္းယွဥ္ၿပီးေျပာတဲ့ေနရာမွာ conjunction အျဖစ္သံုးရင္ေတာ့ အဓိပၸါယ္တူပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ like ကေတာ့ informal ေပါ့။

E.g Nobody can understand him as I do. 

 ငါနားလည္ေပးသလို ဘယ္သူမွ သူ႔ကို နားလည္မေပးဘူး။

Nobody can understand him like I do. (Informal)
